The artists for the upcoming exhibition included, with the artworks, specific instructions on how they wanted the show to be installed. I felt a bit ambivalent about their decision. On the one hand, installing the show was easy because they provided a detailed layout; however, trying to adhere to their rigid requirements was frustrating at times. Spent the afternoon at the gallery de-installing the photo show. Took down the artworks, removed the hooks, plastered the walls, and painted. On Monday, we will begin laying out the new show "Customized Vistas."

Last night I attended a musical performance at the Touhill Performing Arts Center. The Department of Music presented "University Percussion and Afro-Cuban Ensembles" conducted by Matthew Henry and "Vocal Point" conducted by James Henry. All of the selections were great, but my favorite performance was a piece called "Systems." It was an extremely complicated arrangement with strange off beat vocals and rhythms. Wow! It was amazing.
