I managed to run 12 miles yesterday at Forest Park. I normally run six, but as I reached the end of my course, I decided to keep going. I wanted to see how far I could push myself mentally and physically. I was surprised at how good I felt afterwards. My legs were a bit sore, but that was it.
This morning I ran my usual six again. The start was a bit slow. I ran into the wind heading out but I picked up the pace on the last three miles (with the help of the wind, of course.)
The human body is an amazing machine.
